Corn on the Curb hits the Square on Main Street in Stevens Point this weekend, marking the event’s 10th anniversary. Despite the poor crop growing weather throughout Central Wisconsin this summer, organizers say there will be no problem getting enough corn for the event.
The event kicks off this Friday, August 3 and continues through Saturday, August 4. Bring your friends and family for a weekend of live music, tasty food and beverages, and celebrating summer. Bands play Friday and Saturday starting at 7:30 each night and going until 11:00. There will also be inflatable activities for children to enjoy.
Of course Corn on the Curb would not be complete without corn! Event organizers say there are 250 dozen ears of corn that will be available to enjoy on Saturday. Now that’s a lot of corn! This year, the event will also have food from Graffiti’s Sports Pub available including burgers, chicken sandwiches, and pulled pork sandwiches.
Admission to Corn on the Curb is free, so stop down this weekend to enjoy fresh corn while supporting local businesses. Share your Corn on the Curb pictures and stories with us!
