When people come to the Family Crisis Center in Stevens Point, they are often coming in the middle of the night to find a safe haven. Many mothers and their children come to the Family Crisis Center to escape an abusive household. These mothers leave immediately, and do not think of grabbing things like pajamas.
During the 2014 Christmas season, you will have the chance to participate in a campaign called, “Grandma’s Pajamas”. Grandma’s Pajamas is a collection put on by a few of our customers to collect pajamas, books, and other items to give to those in need. This year, they will be collecting new women’s, boys, girls, and infant through age 17 sized pajamas. These pajamas will then be donated to the Family Crisis Center in Stevens Point.
Grandma’s Pajamas will also be collecting age appropriate coloring, activity, and reading books. Last year, Grandma’s Pajamas collected 201 pairs of new pajamas and 161 books. These generous donations are greatly appreciated by the Family Crisis Center.
If you would like to donate pajamas or books to Grandma’s Pajamas, you can drop the items off at Reflections Antiques & Gift’s in Nelsonville. All items should be dropped off before next Thursday, December 11th. Reflections Antiques & Gifts is located at 9492 1st St. in Nelsonville, WI.
