It’s finally Friday! Who’s ready to kick back and relax? This weekend is the second-last weekend of summer, so it’s time to get out there and enjoy it before fall comes rolling in. One way you can celebrate the end of summer is by spending time with 
man’s best friend; after all, Sunday is National Dog Day! Our mascots, Diesel and Levi, are here to celebrate National Dog Day and to remind you of the importance of pet safety.
Diesel: “Choosing a family pet is a big decision. Not only will the pet affect your daily routine, but did you know that it can also affect your home insurance premium? It is very important to make sure that your Wisconsin home insurance covers injuries that may be caused by your pet. While Levi and I always behave, some of our furry friends have been known to jump on visitors and sometimes even bite people. Contact your insurance agent to make sure that you have the proper coverage to protect you if such an incident should occur.”
Levi: “Even though summer is winding down, it can still get hot out! Never leave your pet or child in a parked car, even if you have the windows rolled down. The temperature inside a parked vehicle can drastically increase even on a mild day. Car safety is also important for pets. Make sure your pet is properly restrained in a pet carrier or in a harness so they are safe and not distracting the driver. Road trips are fun, but safety is always a number one priority!”
