As we head into April, we come closer to prom season. High schoolers across the country will get dolled up for a night of dancing and spending time with friends.
Prom also means high school students carpooling together to and from the dance, and sometimes into the early hours of the morning as they attend post-prom parties. While some high school-aged drivers are very responsible and safe, studies have shown that teenagers are more likely to make risky decisions when surrounded by their peers.
Even if teenagers are able to make good decisions when hanging out with friends, accidents do happen. That is why it is always important to make sure your Wisconsin auto insurance policy is protecting you, your vehicle, and anyone else who drives your car including your teenagers.
Make sure your teen knows what to do in case they get in an accident. This includes informing them about your auto insurance, telling them to get information from any other people involved, how to inform the authorities, and so on.
Informing your teen about your car insurance policy will allow you and your teen to have a fun and safe prom.
