Did you know that August is National Eye Exam Month? Take this as an excuse to book an eye appointment to make sure your peepers are in tip-top shape!
If you have fairly good vision, it’s easy to forget to have your eyes checked. Even if you have no problem reading, driving, or seeing things, there may be a need for glasses or contacts to make your vision even better. The only way to find out if this is necessary is to visit an optometrist!
Don’t feel self-conscious if you find out you need glasses. There are many different styles to choose from and glasses are very hip right now. You can go into almost any clothing store and find non-prescription lenses in the accessories department. Thick-rimmed glasses are especially popular so have fun when choosing a pair of glasses!
There’s no better time than right now to book an eye appointment. Get the kids in before they head back to school; this time of year is hectic enough so don’t put off your kids’ eye appointments only to find out they are having trouble in school because their vision is poor.
Check with your insurance agent to see if your Wisconsin health insurance policy covers eye exams. If it does, there’s really no excuse for you to not get your eyes checked. Remember that you can get your eyes checked year-round, not just during National Eye Exam Month!
