Community Insurance hosted its First Annual Chili Cookoff on Friday, November 9th in Iola. It was a big success and we’d like to take this time to thank everyone who attended and helped make this event possible!
The cookoff started right around 3:00 p.m. when our first chili taster came to judge our employees’ recipes. Many people came around 4—4:30 and the cookoff was in full swing! Eight of our team members cooked batches of chili, which meant our attendees had a difficult task in choosing their top 3 picks for the best recipes.
There were a wide variety of chili recipes at the cookoff: traditional meat and bean chili, chili mac with noodles, white chicken chili, vegetarian chili, sweet potato chili … The list goes on and on! Attendees filled their stomachs with all the delicious chili and enjoyed mingling with our team members and other cookoff attendees. We can’t wait to host the next cookoff next year and we’re already excited to start planning it!
