Super Bowl Sunday is just around the corner and many people are scrambling to find some great new recipe ideas. Instead of bringing the typical taco dip, bag of chips, or platter of cheese to a party– you can try one of the recipes below. These recipes are crowd-pleasing and comforting for those that are upset not to be watching the Packers in the Super Bowl this year.
The first recipe is for a delicious chicken enchilada dip.
Chicken Enchilada Dip
Begin by grilling 1 lb. of boneless, skinless chicken breasts seasoned with Spicy Montreal Steak Seasoning. Cool & shred chicken.
Next mix together the following ingredients:
1 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1 8 oz. package shredded Mexican blend cheese
1 4 oz. can diced green chili peppers
1 jalapeno pepper finely diced
shredded chicken
Transfer mixture to an oven safe baking dish & bake uncovered at 350˚ for 30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Serve this delicious recipe with Frito Scoops!
The next recipe is from Stacy Bestul and is for a spicy blue chicken dip. Stacy made this dip for the Community Insurance holiday party and it was awesome.
Spicy Blue Chicken Dip
Ingredients:
1-8oz. cream cheese
1 lb. cooked & shredded chicken
butter
hot sauce
chunky blue cheese
mozzarella cheese
celery sticks
In a crock pot spread cream cheese in an even layer. Cover with cooked & shredded boneless/skinless chicken. Melt ½ stick of butter & pour in hot sauce to your liking for the hot factor, drizzle over chicken. Pour ½ of a bottle of chunky blue cheese dressing over chicken. Cover with shredded mozzarella cheese. Turn the crock pot on high until bubbly. Turn down to warm & serve with celery sticks.
