It’s Tuesday, which means it is time for Tuesday Tips. Today, we will be discussing the dangers of skiing and snowboarding and how you can avoid injuries this winter. We are currently in peak season for skiing and snowboarding. Many people are heading to the slopes to participate in these popular winter sports.
Skiing and snowboarding can be very fun; however, it is not fun when accidents happen. Accidents can often times lead to life altering injuries. We want you to stay safe this winter, that is why we have put together a list of tips
- Before hitting the slopes, make sure to do some simple stretches. This will waken your muscles.
- Make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
- Wear a helmet to protect your head. You should also wear protectors at all times to protect your joints.
- Avoid any slopes that seem overcrowded.
- Try also to avoid any icy or sludgy snow; this type of snow is usually a harbor for accidents.
