Happy Friday to each and every one of you!
It’s time for another beautiful summer weekend in Central Wisconsin. Many people are looking to get out of the house and enjoy everything that our community has to offer. This weekend, the 8th Annual Arts on the Square festival is taking place in Waupaca.
Beginning Friday, August 15th, you will be able to join in on the free street dance with live music performed by Copper Box. There will be food from Jamaican Kitchens, Eggrolls, and more. The festivities begin at 7 pm on Friday and go until 10 pm.
On Saturday, August 16th, downtown Waupaca will be filled with music, art, food, and much more. There will be entertainment on the main stage all day from a variety of artists. There will also be performances all day on the Union Street stage. If that wasn’t enough, there will also be performances all day on the historic bandstand stage from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Every year, the Waupaca Community Arts Board likes to choose a community art project for everybody to enjoy. This year, they are doing it a little different and creating an oral and audio example through the multiple levels of culture and life in Waupaca on the radio. Radiomundo will be live on the air from 10 am to 2 pm.
In the parking lot behind the library in Waupaca there will be great workshops going on all day on Saturday. You can get a full list of workshops by going here. Also, don’t miss out on the farmers market, buskers, and the mini park.
Make sure you get out to Waupaca this weekend for the annual Arts on the Square bash. Also, check back here next weekend to find out what’s going on in the Weekend Beat.
