It’s time to find out what’s going on this weekend in this issue of the Weekend Beat. Every Friday, we inform you on a local event going on in Central Wisconsin over the weekend so you can get out and enjoy this wonderful community. This weekend, the 25th Annual Energy Fair is going on in Custer, WI.
Beginning today, June 20th, the Energy Fair will kick-off and turn into a popular destination for people to learn about renewable energy. The Energy Fair hosts right around 18,000 people every year from all over the United States. The event is specially-tailored to educate people on the importance of sustainable living and take what they learn home with them.
The Energy Fair will house over 200 exhibitors and 200 workshops. There will also be a clean transportation show that will feature demonstration vehicles and exhibitors. Make sure you check out the sustainable tables which include workshops, chef demonstrations, and a farmers market. There will be green building demos that display examples of sustainable building practices. Finally, there will be plenty of entertainment including great local beer.
Tickets for the Energy Fair can be purchased at the gate. Prices for the tickets can be found here. The fair begins at 9:00 am and runs till 7:00 pm on Friday, June 20th.
