This Saturday, July 12th, Neuville Motors and the Waupaca Rotary Club will be hosting the 10th annual “Waupaca’s Own Summer Benefit Concert”. The concert will be held at the Waupaca High School Performing Arts Center at 7:00 pm. Seats will be provided to people on a first-come, first-served basis, so plan accordingly and get there early. The doors open to the lobby open at 6:00 pm.
Local performing artists who have appeared in lead roles professionally and in various Waupaca events throughout the years will be showcasing their talents. The group of 9 artists will perform a blend of musical styles including Broadway, pop, and opera. There will also be a pre-performance concert in the lobby presented by the Waupaca Rotary Troubadours.
The benefit concert is a major fundraiser for the Waupaca High School Vocal Music Department and the Waupaca Breakfast Rotary Club. Proceeds from this event will go towards the cleaning and upkeep of 300 choir robes and Madrigal costumes. Any additional proceeds will be used for Rotary projects including the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, graduating senior scholarships, Middle School “Service Above Self” awards and education grants. Many of the educational grants help fund new equipment to enhance learning experiences at the Waupaca High School.
A free-will donation is requested at the door for the concert. The doors to the performing arts center will open at 6:40 pm. Checks for this event can be made out to WACF (Waupaca Area Community Foundation).
